«Elli why are you crying?“, 2017, An installation about the root of the name Elli for Asia Minor people. (box, sound, pillow, projection) “Find refuge in Art”, Athens 2017“Antonis”, 2015, Installation, exhibition: “Your story”, Bensusan Han, Thessaloniki, supported by the German Ministry of Culture.This work was about my grandfather’s personal story in the Second World War. In 1944 he was 11 years old and a land mine exploded when he was trying to pass through a bariccade. After then he got gradually blind. When my sister and I were kids he used to record our voice in cassettes. After many years I found the cassettes and also a fairytale written in the last cassette. The fairytale was Oscar Wilde’s “The happy prince”. So part of the installation was the sound of the fairytale. Several things found in the island were placed inside the holes of a wall. Things that represent images that could be the material for future memories.
Some of the holes were connected with metallic wire. When somebody touched it, it produced a reaction, like the sound of the sea, a fading in fading out light reminding of a boat at night in the ocean e.t.c.
