Elli Velliou was born in Athens and has studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts 2005-2010. She attended the Erasmus Exchange Programme in Frankfurt in 2009. Scholarships were provided to her for her Master Studies in the field of “Public Art” in the Art Academy in Nuremberg, from where she received her Master in «Art and Public Space» 2011-2013.

Through her work she tries to perserve memory and personal stories and to express special awareness towards the social and the natural environment. Her main media are constructions, installations, two-dimensional creations and artistic interventions in space.

She works as a visual artist and educator and she lives in Attica.
